Ben Lamm

Co-Founder, CEO

While journalists from The New York Times, Entrepreneur, Inc., and Wired have been quick to chat up Ben Lamm for his entrepreneurial exploits or his decade-long success story in the fickle world of digital, it's his coworkers and clients that truly understand the power of having him at the helm. As co-founder, partner and CEO, Lamm is not only an undeniable creative force, but a natural leader with a knack for crafting a business strategy that will have the next big thing looking over its shoulder.

Co-Founder

Systems theorist, IBM Master Inventor, and proud poppa to 11 patents, William “Whurley” Hurley is a futurist’s worst nightmare. Yes, he’s one of the leading authorities on open source, open innovation and augmented reality, but it’s not his numerous awards or acclaimed speaking engagements that make him such a threat.

Whurley is driving the “Vaporware to Makerware” movement that’s on track to destroy old presentation standards and ignite a “future is now” philosophy. While GM of Chaotic Moon Labs, he created The Smarter Cart (TM), shopping cart of the future and the "Board of Imagination", a mind-controlled skateboard deemed “something out of a science fiction movie.” When he’s not speaking internationally, or being interviewed by Wired, he’s busy unlocking the potential of the world's top brands to meet the demands of the next generation.

Mike Erwin

Co-Founder, CFO

Our CFO is a recognized expert at risk modeling and management, and has even been known to dabble in supercomputing, maybe because he carries one around between his ears. With superior mental processing and a talent for strategic thinking, Erwin has made a habit out of finding himself at the ground floor of successful companies, including this one.

After designing and managing Apple’s network for its worldwide customer support operations back in the day, he took his data modeling, crypto skills, and game theory simulation expertise and applied all of that them to a number of tech startups. An animated speaker, published author, and understudy to Nikola Tesla, he’s been charged with helping craft the vision and direction of OuterNet, Symbiot Security and now, Chaotic Moon.

Andrew Busey

Partner

Turning big ideas into successful products is what makes Andrew Busey an entrepreneur to be reckoned with. It’s also what makes him an invaluable partner to Chaotic Moon studios.

Most recently, he was a venture partner with Austin Ventures, focused on early stage web, mobile and SaaS opportunities. But, most notably, Busey hold 17 U.S. patents, created iChat, the first web-based chat system and WebCenter, the first major web-based customer service technology (now part of Avaya).

He was also the founder and CEO of Challenge Games before it was acquired by Zynga, and wrote the book on Multi-User Domain (MUD) Games, the early predecessors to Massively Multi-player Online Games (MMOs) like World of Warcraft and Everquest. Now, he’s the Co-founder and CEO of Team Chaos, Chaotic Moon’s direct-to-market game development partner.

Ben McCraw

Chief Creative Officer

Making simple look complicated is commonplace, but making complicated look simple, is Ben McCraw’s trademark. After 15 years with the world’s largest brands, 3 degrees in Studio Art, Graphic Design and Communications, and 3 successful design studios, Ben knows how to push successful products. That’s why Chaotic Moon tapped him to build the design team from the ground up.

Since then, McCraw has been the guy snatching up the most talented, efficient designers in the biz. Under Ben’s leadership, the team can solve any problem through better design, craft the best possible user experience and generally kicks more ass than any other crew in the industry. Other than being king of the art kids, he’s also the man building Chaotic Moon’s brand and voice.

VP of Technology

Despite achieving excellence in their respective fields, no one at Chaotic Moon is a single-subject specialist. And the multi-talented man leading that charge has to be C.K. Sample III. He’s a honed creative talent directing teams of developers and forging on-point product strategy.

C.K. is a veteran in early-stage web startups and holds a strong editorial background. He’s spent the last decade collecting impressive titles at even more impressive companies like AOL, Mahalo.com, Crowd Fusion and Ceros. He designs and implements cloud-hosted product solutions for a number of large web and mobile properties, and most importantly, he’s the guy behind the core strength of Chaotic Moon.

With two decades of experience in sales and business development under his belt, John Fremont has seen a thing or two. He’s reached his level of success by building and growing relationships with a creative, consultative approach.

He’s responsible for overseeing all business development, sales and marketing activities for Chaotic Moon. However, due to his keen insight and diverse experience in emerging tech industries, he also partners with the CEO on overseeing the product team.
